Asus presented a compact graphic card, the GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini, which has high performances, meant primarily for computers of small dimensions with the mini ITX mother boards. This card has two slots with the dimensions of 17 cm, it contains a graphic processor NVidia GTX 670 that is suitable for games with DirectX 11.1. For comparison, the referent GTX 670 card has 24 cm.

Computers of a compact form based on the ITX motherboards are popular amongst gamers and house users. The compact housing is easier to carry on a LAN match than the standard desktop, and because they don’t lack style, and they are very energy efficient, they are the usual choice for home theater computers. The graphics of the Asus GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini is designed to maximally use the potential of the mini ITX mother boards and deliver a graphic display of high performances. With that, it uses exclusively the DirectCU cooling that combines a steam chamber to remove the redundant heat together with the CoolTech Fan fans that give the air flow and ventilation of a wide angle for better cooling of critical components on the card.

The new DirectCU Mini with the steam chamber and CoolTech Fans

Asus redesigned the DirectCU cooling to fit into the compact housings. Although shorter, it brings a novelty in the form of a copper chamber for drainage of the steam that is placed directly on the graphic processor, which leads to a quicker removal of excess heat and the result is 20% lower temperature than in the referent GTX 670 card. Another novelty is the CoolTech Fan – axial air circulation. This novelty presents strong air flow of a wide angle that will keep vital components of the card at a low temperature, and the heat is released at the back and the top of the card. With that, it gives three times more silent work, and all of that in a very confined space.

Direct Power and Super Alloy Power for Long Lasting and Stable Performances

To use the advantage of the compact format, Asus GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini uses the Direct Power technology that connects the components for power supply and the graphic processor, and with that enabling efficient electrical supply, which as a result has 56% lower impedance and 15% cooler Printed Circuit Board. The Super Alloy Power condensates, the coils and the MOSFET’s are extra straightened against heat and strain and give in average 2.5 times more life span of generic parts.

GPU Tweak for Fast and Easy Card Tuning

In the package with the Asus GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini you get an exclusive graphic card tuning kit, the GPU tweak. The intuitive interface makes all the changes very simple, such as changing frequencies of the graphic processor tact, the fan speed, the voltage, as well as electricity spending, and in that way helps to get the maximum from it. Next to that, there is the option to create a profile for every game, which with overclocking helps LAN players improve performances and team results.
