Custom Splash Screens in 3DSM 3 and 4

Warning! MyCSSMenu may have been blocked by IE-SP2's active content option. This browser feature blocks JavaScript from running locally on your computer.

This warning will not display once the menu is on-line. To enable the menu locally, click the yellow bar above, and select "Allow Blocked Content".

To permanently enable active content locally...

1: Select 'Tools' --> 'Internet Options' from the IE menu.
2: Click the 'Advanced' tab.
3: Check the 2nd option under 'Security' in the tree (Allow active content to run in files on my computer.)

Acouple days ago I was in the www.maxforums.com site and was reading their forums and came across this intersting bit of information.

To make a custom splash screen open your favourite image editing program. I use Photoshop. Then make your splash screen any size you want.

Once you have made your splash screen save it as SPLASH.bmp(make sure SPLASH is in capitals it makes a difference) Then place it in your MAX root directory. For me it's c:\3dsmax4\

Then run MAX and you should have your splash screen and to get the old one back just remove the file.
