If we have valuable information or accounting info stored in excel and by chance if you come across a situation where you need to convert the rows to columns. then we can use the transpose functionality in Excel.

It is done with few quick steps:

1. Copy the entire cells in excel from any sheet
2. open the new sheet where you want to paste the details
3. Click on edit->Paste Special or use Alt+E+S as keyboard shortcut and you will get a new window with flooded options. Look for option called transpose and add the check mark to it.
4. Click ok and you will find the values are changed from rows to columns and vice versa.
